Common Entrance Test ( CET - Maharashtra ) is conducted by the directorate of Technical Education for all health sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses. The Government of Maharashtra is appointed a Competent Authority for the MHT - CET for each streams.

WBJEE- West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations.
The basic purpose is to select candidates for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.
WBJEE Board conducts entrance examinations as -
(a) the JEM - (i) for admission of students to degree level courses in Medical Colleges, Dental Colleges, and Universities, West Bengal.
Selection: Selection for M.B.B.S. Course and B.D.S. Course will be based on the Merit List in the Joint Entrance Examination with regard to preferences for Medical or Dental Colleges and subject to passing the qualifying examination appropriately. Counselling will be undertaken for admission for the merit listed candidates at a fixed venue, date and time to be notified by the authority concerned in this regard. Selected candidates for both the M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. Courses will have to furnish bonds with an undertaking to serve the State Government anywhere in the State for a minimum period of 3 years after passing.
Pass in 10+2 or appearing in examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany and Zoology) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) for general category candidates and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates. For candidates seeking admission through JEE to Govt. and Private Colleges the candidate must be a permanent resident/native of Orissa.
The lower age shall be 17 years as on the year in which they are going to appear for the entrance test. The upper age shall be 25 years as on year in which they are going to appear for the entrance test. The upper age limit may be relaxed by three years for SC/ST candidates.
The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi . The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied 11 th and 12 th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Female candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST)/Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP) category who have passed qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College . The condition of studying 11 th and 12 th class from a school situated with the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.
